When I arrived I'd been working and travelling for about four months. i hadn't had much time or focus for excercise and so when i arrived, getting into shape because one of the goals of my stay in this great city.
in any event, i found my trainer, pablo nejamis (pablonejamis@gmail.com) on craigslist. googling his name i saw that he'd come well recommended by other travellers. i ended up working out with him about three times per week for five weeks. it was a great experience. i've worked out one on one with trainers before, at college and in nyc a few years ago, but compared to those other ones, pablo really put together a great routine. we worked out for about an hour at a time and did metabolic workouts. we met in parks and in a gym. he pushed me hard and gave me a lot of tips, but he wasn't preachy or pushy. he's a young guy who trains a broad cross section of expats, from diplomats, to business people, to vacationers.
dieting wasn't high on my agenda, but along with regular steaks and gelato, i tried to eat reasonably well. anyway, long story short, i lost about 12 kg in 5 weeks. since returning to nyc i've lost another 2kg, using the 45 minute workout routines that pablo showed me. his prices were entirely reasonable.
